When I woke up this morning I already thought it was going to be a good day. My husband let me sleep in to catch up on some much needed Zzz's. Our favorite cousin Christian was coming down for a visit. We had plans to go to a Mexican restaurant for dinner, meaning there was a Patron margarita in my near future. It was going to be a great day!

Then I opened my inbox and there was an e-mail from Urban Outfitters with 'SALE SALE SALE' in the subject line. My blood pressure spiked. The great-ness level of my day had tripled.

Let me preface this by saying that I do not believe in paying retail. For anything. I don't even buy a pair of sunglasses until I get my birthday 20% off coupon from Sunglass Hut. I only buy bras and underwear during Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual sale. They know me by name at the local Marshalls (...I'm only half kidding). I gave my UPS guy a Christmas present for how many packages he had to deliver to me from HauteLook, Ideeli, RueLaLa, etc. You get the picture. I think it's ridiculous to pay retail - I really do.

That being said, I truly believe in good quality clothes and 'higher end' brands and labels. There's something about putting on a $450 (retail) Catharine Malandrino or Chloe dress instead of the $20.00 Forever 21 knockoff that just makes you feel prettier. Due to this predicament, I have become quite the bargain shopper over the years, so we started an Ebay store to pass these deals onto others. We currently have a few Alice & Olivia pieces, a French Connection dress, Free People dress, Betsey Johnson belt, and a Voom by Joy Han dress. I just sold my first item today which was a Juicy Couture e-reader - new in the box, with the price tag still on it... Retails for $78.00 - We just sold it for $35.00.

We will constantly be adding things to the store, more sizes, more options, so please add us to your saved sellers!! We would love to share our finds with you!

Welcome to our blog! We are so excited to begin on this journey with each other and all of our readers. Mary and Dyer is a blog put together by two sisters (well, technically sister-in-law's) who are best friends and lovers of all things beautiful. We want to share with you our tips on fashion, makeup, health, decorating, celebrity style, healthy cooking, where to find good deals & steals, and anything else that comes up. We have spent years sharing all we have found out with each other and are excited to document our ideas and we hope that you will share your ideas with us too!

So who are we?

Kat is 25 and mother to the greatest two kids alive, Mckenna, 4 1/2 and Kellan, 3 1/2. The blog happens to be named after them....Mckenna's middle name is Mary and Kellan's middle name is Dyer. She has a B.S. in Psychology and is a stay-at-home mom. She has a passion for the Lord, her family, clothes, health, sports, celebrities and their clothes, and writing. She lives outside of Philadelphia with her two kids and husband, Landon, who happens to be big brother to....

Danielle who is 22 and finishing up her B.S. in Nursing. She lives outside of Charlotte, NC, and in her free time (which isn't much between school and daily phone conversations with Kat...) loves to hang out with her boyfriend Drew, shop, read, discover new beauty tips and sing. She also shares Kat's passion's for the Lord. 

Between the two of us we hope that we can provide you with some good tips, finds, or style inspiration. We are so excited to start this blog & can't wait to hear from you!
